Sole Mate
your feet know your secrets
What is solestry?
Solestry is the reading of feet — the old cousin of palmistry. Where a palm reader looks at the lines of your hand, a sole reader looks at the shape of your toes, the curve of your arch and the way your toes sit when your foot is at rest, and tells you what they say about the person standing on them.
People have been reading feet for a very long time. Toe shapes still carry the names of the places they were catalogued — the Greek foot, where the second toe reaches past the big toe; the Egyptian, sloping evenly down from a long big toe; the Roman, with the first three toes standing nearly level. Sole Mate reads those three shapes, your arch and your toe spread, and assembles a character portrait from the combination.
How Sole Mate reads you
There are two ways in. You can answer three short questions about your own feet, or you can let the app look at a photo of one bare foot — one picture from above for your toes, one from the side for your arch.
Either way the reading is assembled rather than looked up. Your answers move three hidden qualities — how much you live in your imagination, how much heat you carry, and how open you keep your world — and your fortune is built from where you land on all three. Change one answer and you get a genuinely different reading, not a reshuffle of the same one.
Once you have been read, the app remembers your sole and gives you a fresh fortune each morning.
Reading two soles together
Two people can be read side by side. You each give your soles in turn on the one phone, and Sole Mate reads the pair: a connection score, the shape your pairing makes, where each of you stands next to the other, the archetype you read as together — and, honestly, where the two of you are most likely to grind.
What happens to my photo?
Nothing. Your photo is read on your own device, in your own browser, and then discarded. It is never uploaded, never stored, never sent anywhere and never seen by another person — including us. There is no account to make and no server holding your pictures, because the reading happens entirely on the phone or computer in your hand.
The only thing kept is the handful of answers your reading was built from, saved in your own browser so tomorrow's fortune knows which sole it belongs to. Clear your browser data and even that is gone.
The photo reading is for grown-ups: you need to be 17 or older to use it. The three-question reading has no such requirement.
Is any of this real?
No — and we would rather say so plainly. Sole Mate is entertainment. It makes no claim to predict your future, diagnose anything, or tell you anything medical about your feet. If something in your reading lands uncomfortably close, that is the ordinary pleasure of a good fortune, not evidence. If you have an actual concern about your feet, see a podiatrist, not a fortune app.
What does it cost?
Solo readings are free, for as long as you like, with no account and no sign-up. Reading two soles together is a one-off unlock; pay once and the couples reading stays unlocked on that device.
